The hotel was located really close to the river, other Roman ruins and a working farm. Beautiful and airy room with good bathroom, spent our time lovely. The staff was amiable and lovely and the host too. The location in a lovely area was stunning.

I had lovely 3-night stay here! They offered spotless and brand-new rooms with clean towels and the most comfortable bed. I had tasty food for breakfast with nice views. The staff was very amiable, so I will be back.

By and large, it was cosy base for sightseeing in Allendale, had much fun and met amiable staff with good service. Our location was wonderful and magnificent in a lovely area.

Idyllic location for a country lover.

Although there were a few minor inconveniences, such as having to remove outdoor shoes due to the light-colored carpets, it did not detract from the overall enjoyment of my stay. And if I had been forewarned, I would have brought slip-on shoes or slippers to make it more convenient.

The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable, and the surrounding area was perfect for hikes with stunning countryside views. The peace and quiet was exactly what we were looking for, and the accommodation was top-notch. The breakfast options were delicious and the room was spacious and comfortable. We also loved the mini fridge in the breakfast room. a wonderful place to relax and explore the beauty of Northumbria.

Four of us were made very welcome by our hostess on arrival and she was most warm and friendly throughout our stay. Rooms clean and very comfortable. Breakfast great.

Location and views amidst beautiful countryside. The hostess was so friendly and accommodating throughout our three day stay. She went out of her way to enable us to visit an old chapel nearby. She gave us good advice about parking and where to walk.

The location was beautiful and perfect for traveling around Allendale, just off the river as well as Historic Sites. Our room was large and had a fine bathroom. The beds were comfy, view of snowy hills was astonishing.
